Our Background
We have been in the hotel industry most of our lives and Freddie started his career with a three year hotel management course, followed by a further three years training in Switzerland before going into hotel management. Skye has been our favourite holiday destination for many years and the warmness of the people, together with the beautiful scenery and its history, made it a perfect location for our new venture.
Five years ago we started looking for a plot of land that would accommodate a small guesthouse and a separate self catering unit. We must have visited over 20 plots before discovering this little gem in Milovaig on the west coast of Skye, nine miles from Dunvegan in 2004.
The next step was to plan the business. Having stayed in numerous bed and breakfasts and guesthouses on Skye we knew the standard was high and to make a success of things we would have to get things just right. We made a list of the most important points to achieve this and introduced them into our business plan. We are sure that our knowledge of the industry and our positive, welcoming attitude will bring us success and make your visits memorable. Overseas visitors will be delighted to know that we speak German and have a working knowledge of French. We will always try to meet your special needs.
