Absolutely outstanding in every way. Great place in a wonderful position. Lovely rooms immaculately maintained by two lovely people. Fred can really cook, his Lemon Meringue Pie was the stuff of legends!! Betty is just lovely. Can't wait to go again. The best B & B we have ever been to.

This wonderful b & b looked good on the net but it turned out to be even better. Carters Rest deserves 10 out of 10 for practically everything: beautiful rooms, lovely breakfasts, and friendly proprietors in Freddie and Betty. We'll be back!

Over the past two years have enjoyed two wonderful holidays at Carters Rest and are looking forward to returning again this year for two weeks - this time in the Seagulls Nest.
The views, ambience and best of all Freddie & Betty's terrific hospitality are well worth the journey to get there!!

We had wonderful christmas at Seagulls Nest. Many thanks for your hospitality. The weather was unbelieveable good - sunny no rain, nearly no wind.
Upper Milovaig is beautiful and Skye a place you never want to leave!

We stayed at Carters Rest at the beginning of November for 3 days.
It was quite simply the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and very helpful for local info. The accomodation was lovely and clean and far beyond comfortable, especially the jacuuzi bath! We booked in for 3 evening meals which were all fabulous, and I , as a fish eating vegetarian was catered for really well. Carters Rest is in a beutiful location - the great escape we needed, we didn't want to leave. We would definately stay again, and would certainly recommend it to others.

We sayed at Carters Rest at the end of October 2008. We had a wonderful time. Great accomodation, top class breakfast (do try the porridge), wonderful location, and hosts who were so helpful but not at all intrusive.
Skye did not disappoint either. We will return!

Absolutely perfect B&B. A wonderfully warm welcome from Freddie and Betty. After a beatifully cooked and presented evening meal, what better than to sit in the guest's lounge, around the log fire with a wee dram and then retire contentedly to a cosy room with a great view. Thank you both very much. Sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Dear Betty and Freddie,
Thank you so much for our wonderful stay at Carters Rest. It was surely the nicest place we stayed throughout our holiday. Your hospitality could not be beat and Freddie's cooking was fantastic. The salmon goes quite well with the Isle of Skye beer that you offer! Your recommendations for hikes were great! Thanks for having the heat on when we returned! We will miss sharing the road with the sheep. The view from the dining room is etched in my memory and we hope to return soon with the rest of the family. Our son is settled at Oxford, enjoying his memories of our travels to Skye!
