1 Due to the small size of the Guesthouse, Carters Rest is unsuitable for children under the age of eight.
2 We have a Strict No Smoking policy at Carters Rest.
3 The Guest House and Self Catering accommodation will be available from 4.00 p.m on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.30 a.m on day of departure.
4 Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
5 Provisional bookings can be made online, by telephone, fax or letter, followed by a 25% deposit.
Cancellation Policy
Please Note: 1 NIGHT STAYS ARE PAYABLE IN FULL AT TIME OF BOOKING.
All other bookings will require 25% deposit.

Please note: in times of adverse weather (heavy snow) we will waive the below penalties even at short notice.
Cancellation 28 days prior to the start of your visit - The deposit is not refundable unless we can re-let, in which case we will always refund.
Cancellation 14 days prior to the start of your visit - 30% of the total tariff unless we can re-let
Cancellation 48 hours prior to the start of your visit - 50% of the total tariff unless we can re-let
No cancellation warning - 100% of the total tariff
It is always recommended that Travel Insurance is taken out to cover all eventualities.
